Fantasyland Expansion details are finally on
Disney Done Right!
Okay, so as I mentioned in my last (albeit very brief) blog post, I am SUPER excited about expansions being made in the Magic Kingdom. When I went to Disney World in May I snapped a few pictures of the wall marking the site of the expansions to Fantasyland (I mean expansion! Fantasyland will double in size by the end of the construction!). I have searched all over the Internet and I have pulled together some pretty great information. Many of the sites I found include sketches and video so check out the links I post at the bottom of the page! Putting pictures up on this blog is ANNOYING so, I put together the pictures I found on a slide show at the bottom of the page. I found the pictures on

Expansions to Fantasyland are expected to open in two phases starting in 2012 and continuing into 2013. YAY! I cannot wait!

Expansions to Fantasyland include:
- A LITTLE MERMAID RIDE: (ahh-hemm...cue Kiss the Girl) I think I might be most excited about this ride. The ride, Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid, takes riders under the sea and into the world of Ariel. The sketches I have seen of the ride show guests traveling in Clammobiles (the design is similar to that of Finding Nemo in the Seas at Epcot).
- NEW PRINCESS AND PIXIE ATTRACTIONS: thedisneyblog.com reports that the expansions include castle/chateau/cottage/hollow and meet and greet areas for the following characters :
*Ariel: Not sure if this will be a new location for Ariel's grotto? Makes sense to me!
*Aurora : Watch and help Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather prepare for Aurora's 16th birthday. Maybe they will make a dress. Make it PINK...make BLUE! Oh, I hope they make the cake and fold in the eggs. That was always my favorite part!
*Belle: Enjoy a walk through Belle's cottage and listen to a story from Belle too.
*Cinderella: Yeah, she already has her castle but you can visit Cinderella at her chateau. I read on one site that there will be shows from the Fairy Godmother and possibly a show on how to be a knight?
*Tinker Bell and friends: Meet Tink and all her friends at Pixie Hollow!
*Belle: Enjoy a walk through Belle's cottage and listen to a story from Belle too.

- BE OUR GUEST RESTAURANT: Ladies and Gentlemen, it is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we proudly present...your dinner. This restaurant looks SO cool! Be a guest at the Beast's castle and enjoy a lively dinner...I bet this place will book up fast!
- NEW DUMBO ATTRACTION: The Dumbo ride will reportedly be surrounded by a circus tent (to create a more pleasant ride line for this popular ride).
Expansions to Fantasyland are expected to open in two phases starting in 2012 and continuing into 2013. YAY! I cannot wait!
Amazing! I am so excited to get back to Disney once this is done. When I went earlier this year I fell so in love with the idea of the Be Our Guest resteraunt and your blog just got me excited about it all over again. =)
