It's the day before Halloween and I have decided to create a post today inspired by some of the Haunted mansion cast member spiels (lines the cast members in the Haunted Mansion use) to create a mood that is unmistakably Disney.
Here are a couple of my favorites: (These are best conveyed in a low, monotone voice, fyi)
"Step lively..."
"Please move to the dead center of the room"
"Your time has...come"
"Please fill in all the dead space, there are many others dying to come join you"
The last time I was at Disney World, we had a wonderful cast member. She had some very creative spiels and would go around tapping guests on the shoulder and quickly dodging before she was discovered. I loved seeing the reactions. And that girl was so stinkin' serious. She never cracked a smile. She was great!
I would LOVE to be a Haunted Mansion cast member. A friend and I tried to think of some clever one liners. I can't remember the all of the ones that we came up with in line but, here it goes...
"You're a heartbeat away from the time of your life."
"Please make sure to stay with your party before you depart."
"please crossover to the next room."
That's all I got for now. Weak. I know. But, I like thinking up new spiels while I am waiting in line for the ride, it's a lot more inspiring than behind a computer.

Also, I found this article while looking up some spiels that talked about the Haunted Mansion going PC due to complaints from park guests. Boo. But, since the article was written in 2008 and I went to the park about 4 months ago and they are still using the same favorite lines, I'm not so sure on the accuracy? Who knows?
