The first thing about MVMCP that brings such joy to me...
One great Christmas Parade:
I really, really, really love Disney parades. I especially liked Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Parade! Here are a few pictures I snapped.
The neatest thing about this parade to me was that some of the floats (like Goofy's above) were SCENTED! I was flabbergasted! Scented floats. Some of the delights for your nose included fresh pines on the slopes, candy smells, gingerbread, marshmallow, and possibly even chocolate. It was great!
ps: I did catch this on my flip cam but, since you can't distribute Dramamine through the screen of the internet. You can go ahead and thank me now :)!
The second thing about MVMCP that brings such joy to me...
Two amazing character dance parties:
That's right, two places to shake it in Disney style! You'll remember my love for all dances Disney from my Summer Nighttastic post (with Stitch at Club 626). Here are some picture of the dance parties as well as their locations.
Woody's Hootin' Holiday Open House (At the Diamond Horseshoe, located at Liberty Square)
Cosmic Ray's Jingle, Dance and Play (At Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland)
The third thing about MVMCP that brings such joy to me...
Three yummy Christmas snacks:
Finding one of these...
meant yummy holiday snacks (complimentary of course) and the best part was you could go back again and again and again and well, you get the picture!
Four holiday treat choices:
just when you thought your complimentary treat choices were limited to sugar cookies and cocoa Disney whips out the options again. You have four choices actually sugar cookies, apple slices, cocoa, or apple juice.
The fifth thing about MVMCP that brings such joy to me...
Five "Things To Do!":
as listed on the Mickey' Very Merry Christmas Party, there are five wonderful Christmas Party activities that you don't want to miss out on!
-Mickey's Once Upon Christmas Parade
-Holiday Wishes! "Celebrate the Season"
-A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas Show
-"Celebrate the Season"show
-Character Dance Parties
The sixth thing about MVMCP that brings such joy to me...
Six sided snow flakes...sorta...on Main Street USA:
It's snowing in Florida. Well, at least on Main Street USA. Feel the Christmas spirit as snow flakes fall magically all around you on Main Street USA!
The seventh thing about MVMCP that brings such joy to me...
Seven Magical lands inside one kingdom all decked out for Christmas:
The eight thing about MVMCP that brings such joy to me...
Eight cute reindeer pull Santa through the kingdom!
The ninth thing about MVMCP that brings such joy to me...
Nine...thirty special Wishes!:
I love, love, love Wishes! I especially loved this special seasonal Wishes!: Celebrate the Season. The castle is lit up in thousands of sparkling lights and looks just like it has been dipped in crystals! It is beautiful!
The tenth thing about MVMCP that brings such joy to me...
"ten" soldiers:
okay okay, so the 12 days of Christmas might have been a hard choice so work with me. The soldiers weren't so much the number ten as much as the material tin. They flank the opening of the park as well as the parade (and they even play real instruments and march with a clang).
The eleventh thing about MVMCP that brings such joy to me...
eleven parties left in December:
Hurry and try to get tickets if you are considering a trip to Disney. This party is so worth it!
Here is the link to the official site: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party site.
The twelfth thing about MVMCP that brings such joy to me...
twelve is when it all ends:
The party lasts from 7-12 so that gives you some extra time in the parks to enjoy the holiday treats. Make sure to take advantage of these things while you are in the parks for the party. Don't just go ride rides if you have tickets for the rest of the week because you paid money to get into the party. Use the park map you are given at the entrance and take advantage of every thing Christmas and Mickey will help you get merry!
Here are my tips to make all your parties be merry and bright:
-visit the official Disney site before you go. Type in your name and start to get excited as you are put in the story! here's the link again!
-Entrance to the party (with your party ticket) begins at 4. Go as early as possible so that you can get your party bracelet (this is checked often throughout the night and you will have to get one even if you have the paper ticket).
- Do the Christmas stuff that you paid for (especially if you have tickets to the theme parks "regular"admission.) Don't spend your time doing things that you can do any day at Disney.
-Stay for the second parade at 10:30 there is less of a crowd so that means better viewing (where to sit? read on my friend!).
-Get lots of holiday treats. You paid for them so take advantage!
-Use the park map/info for the event to navigate. You won't be sorry. Here is a link to one I found on wdwinfo.com (mine got all wrinkled up from lots of use!)
-Ask someone to help you if you need it. That is what cast members are paid to do so don't be afraid. They are very helpful!
-Watch the Dapper Dans. I highly recommend this one. It will make you smile!
-Enjoy a fun time of merriment! Mickey does it best!
Well done Princess Ashley!! I loved every peice of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Pie! :)
ReplyDeleteThe combination of christmas carols, soapy snow, joyful smelltasic parades and hot hot chocolate with sweet sugar cookies made it something to remember. I can't wait to experience it all again! It sure is something anyone would hate to miss out on!
ps Thanks for the wonderful tour! You sure know how to do Disney right! :)
Yay! This made me so happy! I would absolutely love to do the MVMCP one year...sadly I don't think it's going to be anytime soon. =( But this post put me in such a Disney mood, I can't wait to go there!
