Happy Thanksgiving
I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone the happiest of Thanksgivings. All too often Thanksgiving becomes the day of turkey, pie, pre-black Friday shopping, and football and the point is lost. Thanksgiving should be a time of celebration for all that we have been given throughout the year. It should be a time that we remember what the Lord has blessed us with including love, safety, shelter, and the ability to live in a wonderful country where our idea of "poor" is not being able to afford Netflix. There are so many families who go hungry living off of just a small amount of food. I would like to challenge you to refresh your eyes this Thanksgiving and to look for the things to be thankful for everyday and look for ways that you can help others. Jesus provided the greatest example of loving others and was the ultimate model of giving. He gave the greatest gift- the gift of grace. I pray this year I can reflect Christ's love for us all. So, do something good for someone today and everyday. Go the extra mile. Live life remembering that you are not alone on this world. Have a beautifully blessed Thanksgiving!
Love,
Ashley
