Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice: This is how Ladies Have FUN!

Today we are talking fun things for your little princess to do and experience while at Disney World.  I'll be breaking down a few things from each park that I would want to do as a little girl.  I cannot wait until I have babies to take to Disney.  I am especially excited to see it through my little princess' eyes!  Let's start the party!

Magic Kingdom
There are so many princess friendly things at the Magic kingdom.  My absolute favorite of these is Wishes! Nighttime Spectacular.  I think it is because it is full of sparkling fireworks, my favorite Disney songs, and of course a tear jerking soundtrack.  I am always sure to get my favorite viewing spot and take in Wishes! when I am at the Magic Kingdom.  And while I have seen it more times than I can count, I am always in awe!  As Tinkerbell takes her flight over the watching crowd I hold my breath and make a wish.  If you can keep your princess awake for a late show (I know, beauty sleep is a must!) then this is one show you won't want to miss!

 Epcot
So off the beatin' princess path I am going to go with...The Seas with Nemo and Friends.  Okay here is my thought process:  I wanted to be a Marine Biologist (one among many career aspirations of my childhood) but, the secret on this dream was that I could be just like Ariel.  Flippin around she may not have gotten that far but, I had a vision that I would be an awesome scientist who lived life out, by, and in the ocean.  When my class went to the beach for a field trip in the 5th grade I was elated to see a real, live, sea cucumber. You would've thought the skipper pulled pure gold out of the ocean!  That was magic! Want more proof of this Little Mermaid marine connection?  My best friend LOVES manatees and who wouldn't?  Those things are amazing! At The Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion you can see all sorts of sea life (like manatees and even dolphins...ooh and my favorite sea turtles).  Plus, you can also talk with Crush and Ride in a clamobile!  That's what I call a splashing good time...fins or feet!

 Disney's Hollywood Studios
Hands down...BEAUTY AND THE BEAST LIVE ONSTAGE!  I am without a doubt a HUGE fan of Beauty and the Beast!  I love musicals.  This on stage representation is so much fun.  It includes all of the favorite songs from the movie.  From the brightly colored costumes and sets to the singing and dancing everyone (even Dad) will be entertained!  Take your Belle to the ball and have a fun time with Beast, Belle, and an absolutely annoyingly charming Gaston!  I am all excited just thinking about it!

 Disney's Animal Kingdom
Finding Nemo the Musical. Another musical...sorry.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show!  It is probably in the running for #1 favorite thing at Disney World!  I've written a ton of posts on this so you can use the search bar for reviews and more.  Basically, this show tells the story of Finding Nemo in music form.  You'll feel like you've been to Broadway.  It's funny, sad, happy, and there's an ice cream stand within eye sight as you exit (they are everywhere I know but, I always seem to take advantage after the show).  That sounds like the perfect equation for little girls!  Your little darling is going to love the songs and sights, I guarentee it!

Downtown Disney
Can you say Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?  I can!  I am all about hair and makeup (makeup mostly)!  At the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique your little girl can make a transformation from princess in street clothes to legit Disney princess.  Dresses and accessories can be purchased but I have seen people bring their own dress and just do the hair and makeup.  I would have loved to do this as a child...who are we kidding???...I would love to do this now!  Plus Mom's and fellow bath lovers, there is a shop called Basin which I plan on TEARING UP for an after half marathon bath (Is it wrong that I make promises with my legs to finish long runs? I think not!).  Stock up while you are romping around in princess land!  Treat yourself!

Alright, we'll be wrapping up this series soon.  Check back to see some experiences that your diva won't want to miss!

  1. Oh my goodness, Beauty and the Beast is absolutely the best! It took me until my most recent (third) visit to go see it, but it's 100% on my to do list for my next trip!
As for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, I think I still have some resentment towards my parents for not taking me there when I was younger! hah! When I have my own kids, they are definitely getting a royal makeover. =)
